From Digital to Physical
Transitioning from the digital to the physical, I'm all about digital crafts. I explore how to blend new technologies with traditional crafting methods. I ask: How accurate can a machine be? My answer involves teaming up a machine with skilled hands to get the best of both worlds. It's about using machine precision but also adding that special touch of manual expertise to create something unique.
Tableware pieces made with a Clay 3D Printer
White clay pieces are meticulously formed layer by layer, patiently shaping the computer-designed form. Once the piece is constructed, it undergoes a drying process, followed by the initial firing, known as "biscuit" firing. Subsequently, the piece is glazed and subjected to a second firing to achieve its final form.
